If you’re referring to the text content that is part of the video itself, unfortunately, that cannot be removed since it is embedded within the video.

Yes, that particular video you watched does have embedded text, but that's not what I'm referring to. All videos have YouTube subtitles. I am attaching two example screen recordings so you can see them. I assume they are coming from YouTube as I don't know what else could be generating them!

Forget the videos - here are two screenshots of two different videos. You can clearly see the subtitles which appear when the videos are played (including transcription mistakes!). These must be coming from YouTube, but how do I switch them off?

From your screenshot, I see they come from the YouTube itself as a part of the video. So, I'm sorry that we don't have any control over that. But, we do not see those subtitles here. I believe they are auto-generated captions and displaying for you based on your YouTube account settings.
