Hello, I am having a heck of a time configuring my RTMP server. I keep getting an error on OBS saying "Failed to connect to server". I'm not exactly 100% sure that I have the right things in the fields. So let me tell you what I have. Please note that I run multiple websites on a Centos server so I cannot simply use an IP address I have to use the website URL which I hope is not an issue. So here is what I have in the fields.

RMTP Sever: rtmp://thewatchmannews.com/stream.flv
Stream Name: stream.flv

And in OBS I have rtmp://thewatchmannews.com/stream.flv for the URL and nothing in the stream key spot.

I sure hope you can tell me where I am going wrong. Thanks for any help you can provide.

What RTMP server do you use?

Actually, the RTMP Server path should follow the pattern below,

{ protocol } / {ip_address or domain name} / {application_name}

Example: rtmp://my_rtmp_server.com/my_application

And, stream name is the actual output file name,

stream.flv

Kindly, make sure whether thewatchmannews.com is a valid RTMP server.
