Is there a way to have thumbnails in the playlist?

Sure. Just add "image" to your videos under Components => Yendif Video Share => Videos. The same image input is used in thumbnail galleries as well as playlists.

I am lost as to exactly where your referring to. I am using the Wordpress plugin for Yendif and have tried adding an image tag in the "short description" box under my video upload with no success.

Is there another plugin I need to download from you? I only see the Yendif Video Share available for Joomla and I am not using Joomla.

Is this something I add to my shortcode?

Sorry, It was my mistake.

Just try adding image(POSTER) for your video under Yendif Player => Media Management. This should solve your issue. There should be a separate field to upload your image(POSTER) in the video form. Just try adding the image in the same field and don't use description box.
