Troubleshooting Guide

Upload Fails

Generally most of the hosting companies restrict the upload size between 4 MB to 8 MB and it fails when you try to upload files larger than the allowed. However, we have some options through which we can increase the maximum upload size. Check here

Player not showing

  1. Video unpublished or deleted from component back-end.
  2. Javascript disabled in the browser
  3. You should have disabled JQuery under Components => Yendif Video Share => Global Configuration
  4. Should be using "FitVids" plugin for responsive video. Yendif Video Share itself have built-in support for responsive. Try disabling this plugin.
  5. There should be a JS Conflict with your template or any other third party plugins. Try disabling JQuery under Components => Yendif Video Share => Global Configuration.

Player show but collapsed

  1. You should be using YOO Theme. By default the theme's widgetkit wraps all <video> elements using mediaelement.js player. Thus, Yendif Player video object was wrapped once again by the theme's js library and create some unwanted issues. Unfortunately, there is no option to disable this in the theme settings. So, the solution is to disable the theme's widgetkit or contacting Yoo theme support.
  2. Should be using "FitVids" plugin for responsive video. Yendif Video Share itself have built-in support for responsive. Try disabling this plugin.
  3. There should be a CSS conflict with your template. We recommend to contact us through This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. along with your live website link.

Unable to play media. Media format not supported.

  1. Your video file path is wrong.
  2. Video file formatted not supported by the browser or Flash Player Plugin.
  3. Should have configured YouTube video and the player size is less than 200x200.

Can hear the sound but no video, MP4 video doesn't work in mobiles

Codec used by your video file seems to be incompatible. The solution is to re-encode your video file again with the suitable codec(H264).

We recommend using HandBrake to encode your H.264 videos. For further instructions, please refer to Mark Pilgrim’s Dive into HTML5 guide: Encoding H.264 Video With HandBrake

MP4 video playing only after loaded completely

If your MP4 files cannot be seeked before they are completely downloaded, you will have to move your MP4 metadata from the end to the beginning of your MP4 file. Use this little application to do that.
